Regarding Placement Cell
The student support and guidance system is comprehensive, with services such as academic counseling, psychological support, and career guidance provided through the Placement Cell. Students also benefit from scholarships and freeships, helping those from underprivileged backgrounds access higher education. The active participation of the Alumni Association and partnerships with local industries further enhance student opportunities for employment and internships.
Employment through Placement Services
In the year 2023, the placement services at Brixton College facilitated employment for a number of students. Local firms and companies employed 33 undergraduate students, while 4 students were placed in the public sector and 37 in the private sector. The data reflects the college’s success in connecting students with job opportunities through its placement services.
Encouragement of Self-Employment
The Counseling & Placement Cell at Brixton College actively encourages students to pursue self-employment. Out of 140 achievers recognized in the Renaissance Souvenir 2023, 7 students (approximately 5%) have engaged in self-employment. The college supports this initiative through various programs and activities designed to foster entrepreneurial skills and offers guidance on starting and managing businesses.
Alumni Association
Brixton College has established an Alumni Association led by a faculty member and supported by a student committee. The association helps in student placements, provides internship opportunities, and offers feedback to current students. It plays a crucial role in maintaining connections with alumni and supporting the college’s mission.
